The Definition OF: Über.
OK, so you know how everyone always says things like "He's a uber-nerd" or "Ed is uber-gorgeous." Yeah and like no one knows the meaning of this word, well...I do!
Über is a German word and it means "over". Doesn't make much sense, now really. Over-gorgeous? I guess it could...

See what I mean though, why do people say it? (OK, I'm a victim to the word too but still...) What about Über-purple? Like over purple doesn't make sense either.

Re: The Definition OF: Über.
In order to make any sense it would probably have to mean "overly" instead of "over". I can see how if you walked into a room where everything was purple you would say that it was overly-purple.

Re: The Definition OF: Über.
Yeah, that's sounds right. Hm. But I wonder why the dictionary said "over"?

Re: The Definition OF: Über.
Maybe the word is hard to translate over from the German language to our language.
