Some say we yawn from weariness.... When another yawns after, it's said their bodies want to take in more air automatically. But is this true? What if there's another explanation?
Perhaps our subconsciousness feels the need to communicate as much as we do. What if the sudden suction of air is actually a form of communication?

Maybe we just like to yawn. Everything doesn't have to be so scientific. I think we just like to yawn so we yawn and because we get tired.

-_____- You guys are no fun. The idea is to think OUTSIDE THE BOX. Otherwise, why the hell would we be having this conversation? Personally, I GET WHY WE YAWN. But can't you two at least pretend to have a little imagination these days? If I had asked this question when we were younger then we'd already have a hundred funky reasons as to why we yawn. I didn't make this thread to have a discussion on the logical. Rather, I made it to be illogical. Why the heck would I have a dirty toothpick that grants wishes as a discussion topic if I wanted to have a sensible conversation??!!

Re: The Sippy Cup
Ok, sorry, let me try again.
Ok, maybe we yawn because the planets aren't aligned and the aliens have being marrying Big Foots so their offspring send tellapathic hynotics to our minds and that's how we yawn.
Happy?

Re: The Sippy Cup
OK. I gots another one.
<----- These random smilies rule the world.
Mr. Sleepy (
) doesn't like Mr. Drunken (
) so he cast the spell of yawning over him so everytime he got tired he would open his mouth annoying and have to intake a big gasp of air. The Pharao (
) like the idea of yawning as a punishment to his slaves so he asked
if he could cast the yawning on his slaves. The queen (
) knew what the
was doing and told the Afro dude (
) to trampled all over him with a
. Which
did. And then the geek (
) was talking to the
and it trampled
too.
was talking to the reindeer (
) and the
sneezed all over him and everyone got the yawn. Then this guy
, scratched himself.
Like it?

Re: The Sippy Cup
Maybe when someone in the world says something that doesn't make sense, it makes someone else in the world yawn. Wait, maybe that means that someone just yawned. . .

Neutrals wrote:The First -and hopefully last- Normal Topic: High School
Hey guys. I put this topic up so we can talk about how school's going. We haven't had the time to talk to you this past week, Erica, so I thought it'd be good to see how things are going.
At first, I hated it. My day went terribly. It ranged from walking into the wrong classrooms to running into other students. I couldn't get my locker open, I was deathly afraid of the crowd and eating at lunch.... and scared shiitless by some of my teachers. Tuesday (I was SO GLAD) was canceled. My second day was painful.... I wore the wrong kind of shoes. My third day was better, and my fourth day has been the most normal and the best so far. I really miss Joan, though. I miss all our teachers and even the fact that we knew all our classmates. I liked that security more than I thought I did. I miss having all the same classes with people I knew.... And OH I HATE TO SAY THIS: I kind of miss our uniforms and strict dress code in a weird way.... I thought I'd like to plan out my outfit for the next day, but waking up at 5:30 in the morning, you really don't want to do anything but sleep. And the homework is unbearable. Even if they give a little bit of homework, it's still a lot. It takes me hours to finish a small bit of my homework now. For the weekend, I have to finish 2 chapters of health notes, write an essay on Russia and Georgia, complete an outline of an essay of a Biotech article, and do a ton of Geometry homework (which I'm really not looking forward to). And I'm afraid of being in Biotech.... I really hope they don't require you to take your major in college in the sciences. As much as I love science and biology, I love art more... (Do you know the answer to this Jen Jen?)
I'm so grateful it's the weekend now. I haven't had much time to relax since Tuesday. I can't come on the computer as much, I can't draw 'cause my hands hurt after writing for hours, and I can't read 'cause my brain hurts too badly. All I do after I finish my homework now is sleep or watch television with my mother... And I usually hate television. (Unless it's House. I like House.) Even though I don't mind High School that much after this first week, I kinda don't want to go back. I miss the summer more than anything. Everything was the way I wanted it. Now everything is screwed out of proportion.
